Southwick vs Newhaven
Saturday 8th December, Old Barn Way, 3pm kick off

Newhaven travel to Southwick on Saturday afternoon, looking for a better performance than the one that saw them draw 1-1 against Steyning last time out. Southwick currently sit 9th in Division Two with a record of six wins, one draw and eight defeats. One of those defeats came at Fort Road, at the beginning of October, when Newhaven won 5-1 to go back to the top of the league. Since that game the Dockers have only dropped two points and have progressed in three cup competitions. The Wickers’ last game saw them beat Saltdean United 7-1 to advance to the quarter-final of the Division Two cup.

Newhaven Reserves vs Shoreham Reserves
Saturday 8th December, Fort Road, 3pm kick off

Newhaven Reserves are back at Fort Road, on Saturday, as they take on one of the joint top-scorers in Reserve Section East, Shoreham. The Dockers enter the game on the back of a 4-1 defeat at Little Common, whereas Shoreham are on a six league game winning streak, having won none of their first three games. Spoils were shared between the teams in the two games last season – Shoreham won 3-2 at Middle Road before the Dockers got revenge with a 3-1 win at Fort Road. There have been 78 goals scored in the 17 games involving Newhaven and Shoreham – an average of 4.5 a game.

Crowborough Youth vs Newhaven Youth
Sunday 9th December, Crowborough Community Stadium, 11am kick off

Newhaven Under 18’s travel to Crowborough, on Sunday morning, in good spirits after their 6-0 victory against Sidley United last weekend. Six different scorers contributed as the Dockers won for the first time in seven games. The Crows have only played half the amount of league games Newhaven have – just five to the Dockers’ 10 – and have started well by winning three, drawing one and losing the other. The reverse of this fixture, at the end of September, saw Crowborough leave Fort Road with three points after a 4-2 win.
