Newhaven Reserves vs Hailsham Reserves
Saturday 6th October, Fort Road, 3pm kick off

With the First and Youth teams without games, the Reserves are the only Newhaven team in action this weekend. They take on Hailsham Town in a Reserve Section East league match at Fort Road.

Hailsham currently lie fifth in the fledgling table, a point and two places higher than the Dockers, having played two games more. They have won two, drawn one and lost two of their opening five league games and their most recent outing was a 3-1 defeat at Haywards Heath. They also exited the Intermediate Cup at the first hurdle after being unable to field a team against Wittering United.

Newhaven enter the match on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win against East Preston. Barry Knight and Damian Lambert goals saw the Dockers through to the second round of the Vernon Wentworth Cup. This is Newhaven’s first league game in four weeks but a win will see them jump above their visitors.
