Steyning Town vs Newhaven
Saturday 29th September, The Shooting Field, 3pm kick off

Newhaven are on the road for the first time since the 24th August, as they travel to Steyning Town on Saturday afternoon. Steyning have won only one of their opening six league fixtures – drawing one and losing five – and currently occupy 16th in Sussex County League Division Two. Their most recent result saw them concede two in the opening 18 minutes as they lost 2-0 at home to Littlehampton on Tuesday night. The Dockers will have to be wary of top scorer Adam Burton who has hit 7 goals in those six league games. Newhaven enter the game on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw against Mile Oak. Naim Rouane’s 80th minute goal was cancelled out by Rickie Mitchell just 5 minutes later.

Directions to Steyning’s Shooting Field ground can be found here.

Newhaven Reserves vs East Preston Reserves
Saturday 29th September, Fort Road, 3pm kick off

Newhaven Reserves continue with cup action on Saturday, as they welcome East Preston Reserves, of the Reserve Premier, to Fort Road for the first round of the Vernon Wentworth Cup. The Dockers bowed out of the Intermediate Cup last weekend so will be looking for an improved performance against higher league opposition. East Preston are yet to lose in their division – winning one (a walkover against Saltdean) and drawing two of their three games so far. Newhaven got to the second round of this competition last season – where they were beaten after extra-time at Pagham.

Newhaven Youth vs Crowborough Youth
Sunday 30th September, Fort Road, 11am kick off

Newhaven Under 18’s will be looking to bounce back from defeat to Eastbourne Borough, as they take on Crowborough at Fort Road on Sunday. That 1-0 defeat against the league leaders, last time out, was made all the more difficult when Harry Millar was harshly sent off for ‘foul and abusive language’ during a close first half. Crowborough’s 4-1 win against AFC Uckfield, last Sunday, put them 5th in Youth League East with a record of two wins and one defeat. Newhaven can go second with a win, however Crowborough would leap above the Dockers if they were to pick up the three points.
