Newhaven vs Broadbridge Heath
Saturday 20th October, Fort Road, 3pm kick off
Newhaven are at home for the 8th time, out of 11 league games, as they welcome unbeaten Broadbridge Heath to Fort Road. Both teams were promoted from Division Three last season and have started this year strongly, with both sitting in the top 4 of Division Two. In the two games between the sides last year, there was one draw and one win for Heath. The Dockers lost 2-1 at Broadbridge Leisure Centre in February – Michael Wood and Robert Godfrey scoring for the hosts before Lee Robinson pulled one back – and then the teams played out a bore draw at Fort Road in March.
Saturday’s visitors have won five and drawn four of their opening nine league games, but their most impressive result saw them win 5-0 at Division One side Hailsham Town, in the RUR Cup. Their most recent result was a 2-0 reverse at Seaford Town in the Division Two Cup. Newhaven enter the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat at Sidley United, which followed two league wins against Southwick and Storrington.
Loxwood Reserves vs Newhaven Reserves
Saturday 20th October, Plaistow Road, 3pm kick off
Newhaven Reserves are back in cup action on Saturday, as they travel to Loxwood of the Reserve Section West. The Dockers will be looking to go one step further in the Reserve Cup, a competition they reached the semi-final of last season. They travel to Loxwood, however, on the back of a disappointing 4-2 home defeat against Little Common. Loxwood haven’t played since the 28th September, losing 2-1 at home to Broadbridge Heath that day, and currently sit 8th in the West league.
An address and map for Loxwood can be found here.

The two teams meet in the 2nd round of the Sussex Bluefin Dennis Probee Youth Cup.
