Newhaven Res vs Little Common Res
Friday 12th October, Fort Road, 7.45pm kick off
Newhaven Reserves kick the weekend off with a Friday night fixture against Little Common. Only two points separate the teams in Reserve Section East but Newhaven have three games in hand on their opponents. Little Common have won two of their seven league fixtures so far, drawing two and losing four. Their most recent result was a 1-0 defeat at Westfield, leaving them 8th in the table. A win for Newhaven, who progressed to the second round of the Vernon Wentworth Cup last weekend, would see them climb to 3rd in the league, with games in hand on the teams above them.
Newhaven vs Storrington
Saturday 13th October, Fort Road, 3pm kick off
It’s Non-League Day on Saturday and Newhaven are at home against a team they have already played this season, Storrington. The two sides met on the second weekend of the Division Two season and the Dockers returned from West Sussex with 3 points, after a 4-1 win. Two goals from Lee Robinson and one-a-piece from Richie Watton and Ryan Walton gave Newhaven victory, the hosts consolation coming from Liam Humphreys. The Swans have picked up recently, after a difficult start, gaining 7 points from their last 5 games, having picked up only 1 from their opening six. Newhaven go in to the game second in Division Two, on goal difference, following Littlehampton’s win over Storrington on Tuesday night. One point currently separate the top four teams in the league. The Dockers will be in confident mood having put five past Southwick last time out.
AFC Uckfield Youth vs Newhaven Youth
Sunday 14th October, The Oaks, 11am kick off
