Newhaven Youth 6-0 Sidley United Youth
Newhaven Under 18s recorded their first win in seven games with a comfortable 6-0 victory against Sidley at Fort Road. There were six different goalscorers for the Dockers as they ran riot against the team bottom of the league. Ian Robinson and Frazer Johnstone gave Newhaven a 2-0 half-time lead, before second-half goals from Max Stevens, Kieran Austin, Tom Turner and Jay Thornton completed the rout. Full report here.
Newhaven 1-1 Steyning Town
Newhaven had to settle for a point as they came from behind to draw with Steyning Town on Saturday afternoon. Craig Knowles gave the visitors the lead but Lee Robinson hit back soon after. It was the first time Newhaven hadn’t won a league game since the 3-3 draw away at, you guessed it, Steyning Town. Full report here.
Little Common Reserves 4-1 Newhaven Reserves
Newhaven Reserves conceded three first half goals as they went down at Little Common on Saturday. Liam Hudson, David Ammoun and Adam Smith gave the home side a 3-0 half-time lead, despite numerous chances for the Dockers. They did pull a goal back early in the second-half through Tom O’Donnell but Ammoun struck again with 20 minutes to play as Little Common held on for their second win against Newhaven.
