Monday the 3rd December was International Day of Disabilities and our Under 11 Girls team were treated to a Disability football based training session.

As well as the usual fun games and football skills the girls take part in they also had the opportunity to learn a little bit about disability on the pitch.

The girls were able to play a game of “Deaf” Football which included learning Football related Sign language and also had the opportunity to take some blind penalties.

Jade Harker and Georgia Ungoed (Coaches) said that “the girls often talk to us at the start of their sessions about what they have learnt in school and we decided that today we would continue the theme of their school day and educate them on the importance of communication on and off the pitch making our team more inclusive”
