Rustington 1-4 Newhaven
Newhaven made it through to the quarter-final of the Division Two Cup with a comfortable 4-1 win at Rustington. Naim Rouane gave the Dockers a 1-0 half-time lead but the hosts hit back through Steve Kirkham. An own goal followed by two from Lee Robinson won the game for Newhaven. Full report here.
Newhaven Reserves 3-1 Bexhill United Reserves
Newhaven Reserves got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-1 home win against Bexhill United. Jack Webber and Barry Knight both scored with headers to give Newhaven a 2-0 half-time lead. Bexhill pulled one back in the second half but Webber made certain of the result with an excellent effort. Full report here.
Eastbourne United Youth 4-2 Newhaven Youth
Newhaven Under 18s fought back from 2-0 down but were unable to push on as they lost 4-2 at Eastbourne United on Sunday. The hosts raced in to a 2-0 lead, the second being a penalty, and that’s how it remained at half-time. The Dockers got back on level terms as Harry Millar scored twice, his second a sublime free-kick. But two quick goals from United won the game and the three points. Full report here.
