Newhaven FC will begin their return to senior football with a home game against Rustington FC. The Division Two season kicks off on Saturday 11th August, and ‘The Dockers’ will be at Fort Road to welcome ‘The Blues’ for a 3pm kick off. Coincidentally, the two sides also meet in the 2nd Round of the Division Two Cup, so both teams will be seeing a lot of each other early in the season.

The following week Newhaven will be on the road for the first time. Storrington are the opponents and ‘The Rec’ is the venue. ‘The Swans’ finished last season in 9th place.

The first midweek game of the season then follows as Little Common visit Fort Road. Common finished a lowly 16th place in Division Two last term and they travel to Newhaven on Tuesday 21st August.

The August Bank Holiday weekend then sees Newhaven travel to Oakwood, who finished bottom of the division last season – but were reprieved relegation to Division Three due to league restructuring – on the Saturday, before then welcoming local rivals Saltdean United to Fort Road on the Monday. Newhaven were involved in a fascinating title race with Saltdean last season, and pipped them to the Division Three Championship on ‘goals scored’.
