Match Report

Newhaven 4-1 Shoreham (HT 0-0)
Lukas Franzen-Jones (62, 90+2),Callum Connor (78, 88)

Newhaven wrapped up their season with another win, meaning they finished with their record high premier division points tally of 83.

In the first half, chances were few and far between for both sides.

Newhaven did create a few chances when they got the ball down and played, firstly Kyle Woolven and Tom Cooklin linked up to free Tristan Jarvis but his shot was saved.  Then a lovely move followed, Jarvis found Woolven who then released Cooklin, who then slipped the ball through to Lee Robinson whose shot was saved at the second attempt.

The second half saw Newhaven take the lead through Lukas Franzen-Jones shot from the edge of the area, but they were pegged back soon after when Shoreham equalised.

Callum Connor tapped into an empty net to restore the lead after Robinson’s initial shot had been saved.

With time running out Newhaven added 2 more goals when first Connor and the Franzen-Jones both grabbed their second from close range after low crosses from the left.
