Newhaven 0-0 Lingfield (HT 0-0)

Newhaven are held at home by an unadventurous Lingfield.

Newhaven dominated the game but were unable to break down a stubborn Lingfield defence.

The first chance fell to Lukas Franzen-Jones after Lee Robinson played him in, but his shot flew wide.

Lingfield then attempted to help Newhaven find the net when a back pass released Robinson in behind but he shot over the bar when well placed.

Franzen-Jones then turned provider for Freddie Beale but his effort was charged down.

A Franzen-Jones free kick was then headed over by Robbie Keith which meant the half ended 0-0.

Straight from the start of the second half Newhaven were on the attack, Robinson raced clear but over ran the ball enabling the keeper to collect.

A Dockers counter attack then saw Robinson free again but his shot was blocked and Seb Saunders fired the rebound wide of the target.

A James Rhodes cross was then headed against the post by Callum Connor.

So 0-0 at full time as despite their pressure the Dockers were unable to find a way through, meaning they had to settle for a point.

Next up, the Dockers travel to East Preston on Saturday.
