Newhaven suffered a fifth defeat on the bounce after being comfortably beaten 3-0 at Fort Road by promotion hopefuls Horsham YMCA.

The match was over as a contest by half-time but was in the balance up until a 44th minute collapse from the hosts.

Nick Sullivan had given the visitors an early 7th minute lead when he finished well past Dockers goalkeeper Tom Bradford.

Although creating little, in terms of clear cut chances, Newhaven were still in the game until two quick-fire goals just shy of the break.

Nick Sullivan crossed for brother, Dan, whose turn and finish left Bradford with no chance.

And with the Dockers still reeling, Dave Brown’s individual run and shot saw the scoreline become 3-0.

With the game all but over the second half saw less action but YM never looked in trouble and comfortably saw out the time.
