Torrential rain across the county has forced today’s games for both Newhaven First Team and Reserves to be postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Newhaven were due to be playing at last season’s Division Two champions Littlehampton Town. But, having been on the road for five minutes, the call came through that the Sportsfield was waterlogged and the game was postponed.

Newhaven Reserves’ Intermediate Cup match at home to Littlehampton Reserves was called off at around 11.15am because of the water on the Fort Road pitch (pictured above).

Both games will be rearranged and new dates announced as and when they are released.
