Newhaven will begin their 2018/19 Southern Combination Football League Premier Division campaign with an away match against last season’s RUR Charity Cup winners Chichester City.

The season-long fixture list was released by the league on Wednesday morning and sees the Dockers away in five of their opening seven fixtures, including away ties in the two FA competitions. Newhaven’s first home league match of the season is on Tuesday 7th August against AFC Uckfield Town.

The much anticipated local derbies between Newhaven and Peacehaven have been moved back to their more traditional slots of Boxing Day and Easter Monday, with the Dockers hosting the Christmas fixture and Peacehaven at home on Easter Monday.

Other notable dates during the season see Newhaven travel to Eastbourne Town on bank holiday Monday 27th August, a trip to Eastbourne United in the last game of 2018 on Saturday 29th December, before 2019 is kicked off with a home match against promoted Langney Wanderers the following week.

Newhaven’s last away fixture will be that Easter local derby against Peacehaven on Monday 22nd April, before the season concludes with a home match against Shoreham on Saturday 27th April.

A full list of fixtures is available here. As always, some fixtures will be subject to change.
