Newhaven have been handed an away tie in the Emirates FA Cup, as the early round draws for all FA competitions were announced on Friday lunchtime.
The Dockers will travel to Combined Counties League side Abbey Rangers in the Extra Preliminary Round at Addlestone Moor on Saturday 11th August.
Rangers finished 17th in the Premier Division last season and had a mixed home league record that included seven wins, seven draws and seven defeats.
The winner of this fixture will then face a home match against either Pagham or K Sports in the Preliminary Round.
In the Buildbase FA Vase, another away tie awaits Newhaven in the form of Southern Counties East Football League side Snodland Town.
The First Round Qualifying tie will see the Dockers travel to Kent to take on Town, who are a First Division team and finished sixth during the last campaign.
The victorious team from this tie will then play at home against either Croydon or Little Common in the Second Qualifying round.
Elsewhere, Newhaven Under-18s also learnt their FA Youth Cup Preliminary round opponents, and they face an away tie at Sussex side East Preston.
That match will be played in the week commencing Monday 3rd September, with the winners facing a home tie against either Hastings United or Metropolitan Police.
