Newhaven will play no further part in cup competitions this season after a penalty shoot-out defeat at Steyning Town on Tuesday.

Lee Robinson had given the Dockers an extra-time lead, after a goalless 90 minutes, but Adam Burton equalised for the hosts.

In the penalty shoot-out Burton, Craig Knowles, Kerry Parsons and Kristian Harding all scored for Town, but only Naim Rouane and Freddie Beale found the net for Newhaven who had Mark Probert and Daniel Murray spot-kicks saved by Matt Evans.
