Newhaven overturned a 1-0 half-time deficit to beat Crawley Down Gatwick 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
An Adam Kneller own goal had given the hosts an early lead at the Haven Centre, which they held on to going in to the interval.
The Dockers levelled on the hour when Andy Goodwin topped Kneller’s own goal with an even better one from the edge of his own area. And Craig Bunch won the game for the visitors with a header from a James Rhodes cross.
The victory made it nine on the bounce for Newhaven, who are five points off top spot in Division One.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Newhaven Reserves recorded a 4-2 home win against St Francis Rangers Reserves to make it five league games unbeaten.
Barry Fuller had given the visitors an early lead, but the game was turned on its head by goals from Ian Robinson and Jack Loraine either side of half-time.
Fuller equalised for Rangers on the hour, but Robinson and Loraine both notched another goal each as the Dockers moved further away from the relegation places in Reserve Premier.
On Sunday, Newhaven Under-18s were made to work hard for the three points against Bexhill United Under-18s, but eventually prevailed with a 2-1 win at Fort Road.
Marcus Richmond gave the young Dockers a 1-0 half-time lead, but this was cancelled out late in the second half by the visitors.
However, just a minute later a Lukas Franzen-Jones strike won the match and the points for Newhaven, who move eleven points clear at the top of SCYL East Division.
