Newhaven’s rearranged FA Carlsberg Vase first round replay with Cove has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Oak Farm Stadium.

The original replay was abandoned after 41 minutes, with the Dockers leading 1-0, after torrential rain again left the pitch waterlogged.

The replay came about after the sides drew an epic encounter 4-4 at Fort Road, after Newhaven scored twice in the last five minutes to take the tie in to extra-time.

The new replay date is pencilled in for Tuesday 5th November, again at Cove’s Oak Farm Stadium, and will kick off at 7.45pm.
