All the draws for this season’s Sussex County FA competitions have been made, and Newhaven teams will be at home for three of the four opening ties.

The only away draw sees Newhaven travel to newly relegated Division Two side Worthing United in the Parafix Sussex Senior Cup first round.

The draw was made at lunchtime today (Tuesday) on the twitter feed of the competition sponsor, Parafix (@ParafixUK).

The two sides met on the opening day of the 2013/14 season – a game that United won 3-1 – but memorable for the fact it was their only league win of the season (not including the three points awarded after Rye United’s withdrawal).

The Dockers would gain revenge in the reverse fixture, beating United 8-0 at Fort Road in January.

This tie will be played on or before 7th and 8th October.

Elsewhere, Newhaven will host fellow Division One side Pagham in the second round of the Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup.

The Dockers gained four points in the two games between the teams last season – drawing 1-1 at Nyetimber Lane, before putting a run of nine-straight defeats to an end with a 2-1 win at Fort Road in March.

Date and kick off time is to be confirmed.

The Intermediate Cup draw sees Newhaven Reserves welcome Ferring to Fort Road.

Ferring play in Division Three of the Sussex County Football League and finished as runners-up last season, but were denied promotion due to ground grading.

Date and kick off time to be confirmed.

In the final draw involving the Dockers – the Sussex Bluefin Dennis Probee Youth Cup – Newhaven under-18s have been drawn at home against Worthing Town. This tie will be played on Sunday 14th September at 11am.
