The Second Round draw for the Buildbase FA Vase was made on Monday lunchtime and it sees a return to Kent for Newhaven.

The Dockers have been drawn away at Southern Counties East Football League Division One side Kennington, who are based in Ashford, Kent, and booked their place in Round Two with a 4-2 victory against Crowborough.

Newhaven were comfortable winners of their First Round tie at Punjab United on Saturday, coming away from Gravesend with a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Ian Robinson, Ebou Jallow and Lukas Franzen-Jones.

As has been the case with the FA Cup tie at Whitstable in August, and Saturday’s FA Vase game in Gravesend, the club will again be putting on a coach for players and supporters to travel to the match in Ashford.

The game is scheduled to take place at Homelands Stadium, home of Ashford United, on Saturday 2nd November, kicking off at 3pm. The coach will leave the Trafalgar Ground, Newhaven at approximately 11am and will likely be back at Fort Road around 8pm.

The cost of a return ticket on the coach will be £10, and admission to Kennington’s home games is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions (student/OAP) and free for U16s.
