‘ The battle of the Coaches ‘

The battle of the coaches returns for its for its third year on Friday April 5th 2019, Newhaven FC Coaches vs Peacehaven & Telscombe FC Coaches. The game is an eagerly awaited fixture amongst the coaches from both clubs and it’s a chance for them to show off their skills and stretch their legs, once a year is more than enough !!

The game was set up to celebrate all the hard work that the coaches from both clubs put into making it possible for so many people to play football. What better reward than to play a competitive match and hopefully be supported by the very people that benefit from that hard work. Hopefully the night will be great game in front a lot of people.

It also gives us the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for charity work. This year we the charity in question is MIND. It’s a charity that looks to provide help and guidance for those who experience problems with Mental Illness. It’s believed that 1 in 4 people will experience these problems each year. I’m sure we all know someone, or have gone through it ourselves, who has been troubled by a mental illness.

MIND want to ensure that no one goes through this alone. They offer the MIND Infoline where people can call to discuss their problems, the different types of mental illness, be advised where to get help and discuss medication and alternative therapies. The lines are open 9am until 6pm Monday to Friday. The number to call is

0300 123 3393

We have set up a Just Giving page for the event where you can make a donation online, it’s very easy to do
