Newhaven’s Sussex County Football League Division One match against St Francis Rangers has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The surface at Fort Road was still holding water from the week’s wet weather and a 10am inspection deemed the pitch to be unplayable.

It means the Dockers end 2013 with three postponements, after the game at home against Hassocks and the Boxing Day meeting with Shoreham both also fell foul of the weather.

Newhaven will now be next in action on Saturday 4th January when they head east to take on Rye United at the Salts.
